Getting your film funded is hard. This podcast hopes to make it a little easier.
The idea of "first time go" comes from a military superlative, getting the task right the first time, whatever the job is. And I brought the concept to independent filmmaking. Whether it's a film student or somebody whose film just went viral, my guests are filmmakers making original art and pushing boundaries. Two episodes are released every week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
On Sundays, I release an indie film highlight, a quick one to two minute review of a film made before 2024.
It's for the pod's YouTube channel -- check it out.
I served in the United States Army for 11 years and used the GI Bill to earn a certificate in documentary filmmaking from George Washington University. I helped a team make a film called THE GOOD CANDIDATE about the Virginia 5th District Republican Primary.
I founded a company tackling difficult challenges in the built environment and am working on building a production company that brings great stories to life.
Have a listen and drop me a line. I hope this helps you get your first time go.
